Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape with fisherman taking in their catch, the Moulin Quiquengrogne in the distance by Pierre Lélu was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,123.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pierre Lélu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Die Begegnung von Abraham und Melchizadech. Genesis 14. in September 2013 with an auction result of CHF 7,800.00 (€ 6,373.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape with fisherman taking in their catch, the Moulin Quiquengrogne in the distance von Pierre Lélu kam im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.123,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Lélu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Die Begegnung von Abraham und Melchizadech. Genesis 14. im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 7.800,00 (€ 6.373,70).
