Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Two women dancing with a comedian in a landscape by Pierre Lélu was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings auction at Christies in London in July 2004. It achieved a price of GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,708.86), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Lélu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Die Begegnung von Abraham und Melchizadech. Genesis 14., which sold at auction in September 2013 for CHF 7,800.00 (€ 6,373.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Two women dancing with a comedian in a landscape von Pierre Lélu wurde im Juli 2004 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.792,50 (€ 2.708,86) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre Lélu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Die Begegnung von Abraham und Melchizadech.
