Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Fritillaria Latifolia by Pierre-Joseph Redouté for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,004.54). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Joseph Redouté achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Elaborate Still Life Of Flowers In A Glass Vase Resting On An Alabaster Pedestal With A Bird Nest And A Melon Below in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,504,000.00 (€ 1,926,450.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Fritillaria Latifolia von Pierre-Joseph Redouté für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.004,54) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre-Joseph Redouté erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Elaborate Still Life Of Flowers In A Glass Vase Resting On An Alabaster Pedestal With A Bird Nest And A Melon Below im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.504.000,00 (€ 1.926.450,22).
