Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Masters, which included the work Sagittaria Sagittifolia (Sagittaire En Flèche) by Pierre-Joseph Redouté. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,347.43), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Joseph Redouté achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Elaborate Still Life Of Flowers In A Glass Vase Resting On An Alabaster Pedestal With A Bird Nest And A Melon Below in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,504,000.00 (€ 1,926,450.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sagittaria Sagittifolia (Sagittaire En Flèche) von Pierre-Joseph Redouté zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.347,43) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre-Joseph Redouté erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Elaborate Still Life Of Flowers In A Glass Vase Resting On An Alabaster Pedestal With A Bird Nest And A Melon Below im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.504.000,00 (€ 1.926.450,22).
