Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Curcuma Long (Curcuma Longa) by Pierre-Joseph Redouté was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,037.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Joseph Redouté achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Elaborate Still Life Of Flowers In A Glass Vase Resting On An Alabaster Pedestal With A Bird Nest And A Melon Below in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,504,000.00 (€ 1,926,450.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Curcuma Long (Curcuma Longa) von Pierre-Joseph Redouté kam im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.037,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre-Joseph Redouté erzielen.
