Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2003 Christies in London held the auction Important Gold Boxes,Objects of Vertu & Portrait Miniatures, which included the work A young gentleman, in blue silk gown and purple silk cloak, lace cravat tied with red bow, full bottomed curling wig by Pierre Huaud II. The price achieved of GBP 1,195.00 (€ 1,692.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre Huaud II have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unknown in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,297.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Gold Boxes,Objects of Vertu & Portrait Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young gentleman, in blue silk gown and purple silk cloak, lace cravat tied with red bow, full bottomed curling wig von Pierre Huaud II zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.195,00 (€ 1.692,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Huaud II auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unknown im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.297,36).
