Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work Winter: a gothic fountain in a German town by Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven. The price achieved of EUR 4,541.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View of Jerusalem, seen from the East, with the Temple Mount and the Lion's Gate in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 432,000.00 (€ 316,251.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Winter: a gothic fountain in a German town von Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.541,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View of Jerusalem, seen from the East, with the Temple Mount and the Lion's Gate im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 432.000,00 (€ 316.251,83).
