Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Important Photographs from the Collection of Donald and Alice Lappé, which included the work Antithèse, c. 1930 by Pierre Dubreuil. The price achieved of USD 87,500.00 (€ 75,120.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Dubreuil - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'The First Round', which sold at auction in October 2011 for USD 314,500.00 (€ 225,496.52).
