Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Pier Leone Ghezzi could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni auction, the work Studies Of A Boy Writing A Letter, And A Boy With His Head Lowered changed hands for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,140.90) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pier Leone Ghezzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paolo De Matteis In His Studio in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 91,000.00 (€ 58,453.24).
In der Auktion Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni wechselte die Arbeit Studies Of A Boy Writing A Letter, And A Boy With His Head Lowered für USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.140,90) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00.
