Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Caricature Du Comte Johann Ernst Emanuel Joseph Harrach by Pier Leone Ghezzi was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings auction at Artcurial in March 2016. The price achieved of EUR 2,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pier Leone Ghezzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paolo De Matteis In His Studio in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 91,000.00 (€ 58,453.24).

Die Arbeit Caricature Du Comte Johann Ernst Emanuel Joseph Harrach von Pier Leone Ghezzi wurde im März 2016 in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings bei Artcurial versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pier Leone Ghezzi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paolo De Matteis In His Studio im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.000,00 (€ 58.453,24).
