Sold at the lower estimate price
In June 2020 Christies in London held the auction Face Time: People in Art through the Ages, which included the work A caricature of Padre Mairè by Pier Leone Ghezzi. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,202.65) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pier Leone Ghezzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paolo De Matteis In His Studio in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 91,000.00 (€ 58,453.24).
