This artwork by Pier Leone Ghezzi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2012. In the Old Master & Early British Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work Portrait of Baron Philipp von Stosch (1691-1757) in his study with a servant holding a flask sold for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,145.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pier Leone Ghezzi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paolo De Matteis In His Studio in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 91,000.00 (€ 58,453.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pier Leone Ghezzi erzielte im Juli 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings and Watercolours wurde die Arbeit Portrait of Baron Philipp von Stosch (1691-1757) in his study with a servant holding a flask für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.145,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pier Leone Ghezzi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paolo De Matteis In His Studio im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.000,00 (€ 58.453,24).
