The price achieved of USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,848.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Piat Joseph Sauvage have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venus And Cupid in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 80,334.19).
