Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures, which included the work Allegory Of Summer; Together With An Allegory Of Autumn by Piat Joseph Sauvage. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,594.30), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Piat Joseph Sauvage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venus And Cupid in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 80,334.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Allegory Of Summer; Together With An Allegory Of Autumn von Piat Joseph Sauvage zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.386,00 (€ 1.594,30) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Piat Joseph Sauvage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venus And Cupid im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 80.334,19).
