Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bacchus enfant et deux putti, à l'imitation d'un bas-relief by Piat Joseph Sauvage was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century Art auction at Artcurial in March this year. The price achieved of EUR 5,248.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Piat Joseph Sauvage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venus And Cupid in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 80,334.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bacchus enfant et deux putti, à l'imitation d'un bas-relief von Piat Joseph Sauvage wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art bei Artcurial versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.248,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Piat Joseph Sauvage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venus And Cupid im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 80.334,19).
