Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Apollo Crowned By The Muses by Piat Joseph Sauvage was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni auction at Sothebys in New York in February 2013. It achieved a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,167.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Piat Joseph Sauvage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venus And Cupid in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 80,334.19).
