Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fragmento 8 1 by Pia Camil was sold in the Contemporary Discoveries auction at Sothebys in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,260.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pia Camil - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prueba Fragmento 6 II, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,404.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fragmento 8 1 von Pia Camil wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Discoveries bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.260,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pia Camil mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Prueba Fragmento 6 II beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.404,77) versteigert wurde.
