Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wall Piece by Phillip King was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in February 2008. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 13,079.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Phillip King have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Through in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 92,500.00 (€ 111,311.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wall Piece von Phillip King wurde im Februar 2008 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 13.079,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Phillip King auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Through im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 92.500,00 (€ 111.311,37).
