Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Diamond Maquette by Phillip King was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in February 2008. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,847.76), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Phillip King achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Through in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 92,500.00 (€ 111,311.37).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Diamond Maquette von Phillip King wurde im Februar 2008 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.847,76) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Phillip King erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Through im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 92.500,00 (€ 111.311,37).
