It achieved a price of GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,632.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Phillip King achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Through in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 92,500.00 (€ 111,311.37).

Die Arbeit Maquette for Peaks and Chimes von Phillip King kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.788,00 (€ 5.632,63) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Phillip King erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Through im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 92.500,00 (€ 111.311,37).
