Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Philip Guston for USD 1,865,000.00 (€ 1,709,754.31). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Evening Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip Guston achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Strong Light in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 24,393,000.00 (€ 21,611,588.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Philip Guston für USD 1.865.000,00 (€ 1.709.754,31) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philip Guston erzielen.
