Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian & Edwardian Art, which included the work Bayswater by Philip Connard. The price achieved of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 71,238.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip Connard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kensington Gardens, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 106,100.00 (€ 152,366.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bayswater von Philip Connard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 48.000,00 (€ 71.238,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Philip Connard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kensington Gardens beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 106.100,00 (€ 152.366,58) versteigert wurde.
