Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A solander box containing five oil sketches and a collection of drawings and watercolours including studies of landscapes, figures and animals, variously signed, dated and inscribed by Philip Connard. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,699.84), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip Connard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kensington Gardens in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 106,100.00 (€ 152,366.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A solander box containing five oil sketches and a collection of drawings and watercolours including studies of landscapes, figures and animals, variously signed, dated and inscribed von Philip Connard zur Versteigerung kam.
