It achieved a price of USD 20,312.50 (€ 17,996.37), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 69%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Philip Campbell Curtis; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Christmas Tree sold at auction in December 2007 with the realized price of USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,337.26).
