Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Woman Drinking From A Phial by Petrus Staverenus was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2008. The price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,462.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Petrus Staverenus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Personification of the five senses: Sight: A young woman pointing; Hearing: A man counting coins; Smell: A laughing man smoking a pipe; Taste: A laughing man with an upturned glass; and Touch: A man operating on another man in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 175,000.00 (€ 192,138.36).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.462,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden.
