Auction result well in line with expectations
The work whitebeard, 1986 by Peter Shelton was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. The price achieved of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,909.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Shelton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Longarm, 1990-91 in September 2019 with an auction result of USD 31,325.00 (€ 28,725.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit whitebeard, 1986 von Peter Shelton kam im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.909,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Shelton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Longarm, 1990-91 im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.325,00 (€ 28.725,36).
