Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work onelongsleeve, 1987-90 by Peter Shelton was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,837.50 (€ 10,285.19). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Shelton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Longarm, 1990-91, which sold at auction in September 2019 for USD 31,325.00 (€ 28,725.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit onelongsleeve, 1987-90 von Peter Shelton kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.837,50 (€ 10.285,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Shelton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Longarm, 1990-91 beobachtet, die im September 2019 für USD 31.325,00 (€ 28.725,36) versteigert wurde.
