Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Peter Sekaer could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Crossing America: Photographs from the Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part I auction, the work Chicago, c. 1938 changed hands for USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,180.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Sekaer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New York, c. 1935 in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,273.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Sekaer konnte im April 2011 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Crossing America: Photographs from the Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part I wechselte die Arbeit Chicago, c. 1938 für USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.180,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Sekaer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit New York, c. 1935 im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.273,75).
