Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hieroglyph by Peter Sedgley was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in March 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,472.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Sedgley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Counterpoint in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 74,343.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hieroglyph von Peter Sedgley kam im März 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.680,00 (€ 2.472,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Sedgley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Counterpoint im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 74.343,05).
