Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Carlos by Peter Samuelson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,262.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Peter Samuelson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work John in January 2008 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,567.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Carlos von Peter Samuelson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.262,56) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Samuelson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit John im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 12.567,59).
