In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work A Young Man by Peter Samuelson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 812.50 (€ 1,104.05), 63% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Samuelson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work John in January 2008 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,567.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Young Man von Peter Samuelson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 1.104,05) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Samuelson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit John im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 12.567,59).
