Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Monhegan, Starling House by Peter Poskas. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,827.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Poskas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Snow Squalls, Parmelee Farm, Prelude To Spring in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 52,000.00 (€ 35,941.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Monhegan, Starling House von Peter Poskas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.827,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Poskas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Snow Squalls, Parmelee Farm, Prelude To Spring im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.000,00 (€ 35.941,39).
