Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Peter Phillips achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2018. In the Modern British Art Day Sale auction, the work Racer I sold for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,019.16) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Phillips have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 141,800.00 (€ 199,936.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Phillips erzielte im November 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Racer I für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.019,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Phillips auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 141.800,00 (€ 199.936,22).
