Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Reading at the wall by Peter Peri. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 418.25 (€ 626.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Peri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Senza titolo (Large Circles) in June last year with an auction result of EUR 6,300.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reading at the wall von Peter Peri zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 418,25 (€ 626,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Peri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Senza titolo (Large Circles) im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.300,00.
