The work A Cockerel by Peter Paillou was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt auction at Sothebys in London in July 2011. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,500.00 (€ 7,459.72), 30% above the upper estimate. With this result, A Cockerel is even the most expensive work of art by Peter Paillou that we have observed at auctions so far.
