Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Morning Gun by Peter Monamy was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 53,454.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Monamy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The flagship Royal Sovereign saluting at the Nore, which sold at auction in November 2010 for GBP 109,250.00 (€ 130,553.58).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 53.454,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Monamy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The flagship Royal Sovereign saluting at the Nore beobachtet, die im November 2010 für GBP 109.250,00 (€ 130.553,58) versteigert wurde.
