Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Selling the Daily Worker (i), Let me Stay with Him (ii), Western Culture (iii), Fighting for His Family II (iv), VE Day, 1945 (v) by László Péri was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 750.00 (€ 880.68). Other works by László Péri have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2019 by the work Design for Mural at GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,174.24).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Selling the Daily Worker (i), Let me Stay with Him (ii), Western Culture (iii), Fighting for His Family II (iv), VE Day, 1945 (v) von László Péri im November 2019 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 750,00 (€ 880,68) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von László Péri wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2019 die Arbeit Design for Mural mit GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.174,24).
