Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Winter Evening, Venice by Peter Kelly was sold in the 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART auction at Christies in London in December 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 211.50 (€ 345.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Peter Kelly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The music room, Long Hill, Massachusetts in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,671.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Winter Evening, Venice von Peter Kelly wurde im Dezember 2001 in der Auktion 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 211,50 (€ 345,56) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Kelly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The music room, Long Hill, Massachusetts im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.671,43).
