Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Snail Piece by Peter Hutchinson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,094.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Peter Hutchinson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Continental Divide in April 2015 with an auction result of EUR 4,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snail Piece von Peter Hutchinson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.094,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Hutchinson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Continental Divide im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.750,00.
