Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2000 Christies in London held the auction 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART, which included the work Bathing on the Beach by Peter Greenham. It changed hands for a price of GBP 763.75 (€ 1,248.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Greenham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Art School, which sold at auction in October 2004 for GBP 3,107.00 (€ 4,471.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bathing on the Beach von Peter Greenham zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 763,75 (€ 1.248,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Greenham mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Art School beobachtet, die im Oktober 2004 für GBP 3.107,00 (€ 4.471,83) versteigert wurde.
