Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Christies in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Sea Worn Rocks by Peter Graham. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,100.00 (€ 20,525.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Peter Graham have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2006 the work Sea worn rocks was auctioned for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,443.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sea Worn Rocks von Peter Graham zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 16.100,00 (€ 20.525,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Peter Graham konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2006 die Arbeit Sea worn rocks für GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.443,95) versteigert.
