Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Highland cattle grazing on a mist covered hillside by Peter Graham. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,918.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sea worn rocks in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,443.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Highland cattle grazing on a mist covered hillside von Peter Graham zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.918,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Graham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sea worn rocks im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.443,95).
