Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still life with a bottle, a jug and a napkin by Peter de Wint was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,865.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter de Wint - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two boys with a donkey, which sold at auction in January 2003 for GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,114.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still life with a bottle, a jug and a napkin von Peter de Wint kam im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.865,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter de Wint mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two boys with a donkey beobachtet, die im Januar 2003 für GBP 20.315,00 (€ 31.114,73) versteigert wurde.
