Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horses and figures on a riverside path by Peter de Wint was auctioned at Christies in London in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,048.00 (€ 7,170.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Peter de Wint have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two boys with a donkey in January 2003 with an auction result of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,114.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Horses and figures on a riverside path von Peter de Wint kam im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.048,00 (€ 7.170,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter de Wint auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two boys with a donkey im Januar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.315,00 (€ 31.114,73).
