Admittedly, works by Peter de Wint have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two boys with a donkey in January 2003 with an auction result of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,114.73).

Die Arbeit Barges on the River Thames near Windsor von Peter de Wint kam im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.388,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter de Wint auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two boys with a donkey im Januar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.315,00 (€ 31.114,73).
