Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Christies in London held the auction Sporting & Wildlife Art, Including An Important Private Collection of works by Wilhelm Kuhnert and David Shepherd, which included the work Around the turn by Peter Curling. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,970.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Curling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Scarteen Point-To-Point, Kilfeacle in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 66,000.00 (€ 96,338.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting & Wildlife Art, Including An Important Private Collection of works by Wilhelm Kuhnert and David Shepherd durch, in der auch die Arbeit Around the turn von Peter Curling zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.970,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Curling auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Scarteen Point-To-Point, Kilfeacle im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 66.000,00 (€ 96.338,50).
