Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unsaddling Conna by Peter Curling was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 23,940.00 (€ 26,397.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Curling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Scarteen Point-To-Point, Kilfeacle, which sold at auction in May 2006 for GBP 66,000.00 (€ 96,338.50).
