Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 30,565.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 24,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Curling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Scarteen Point-To-Point, Kilfeacle, which sold at auction in May 2006 for GBP 66,000.00 (€ 96,338.50).
