Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work 'Boran Woman At Marsabit Hospital, March 1962, For The End Of The Game' by Peter Beard. Here, the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,777.36). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Beard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orphaned Cheetah Cubs, Mweiga, near Nyeri, Kenya, March 1968 in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 672,500.00 (€ 577,352.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Boran Woman At Marsabit Hospital, March 1962, For The End Of The Game' von Peter Beard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.000,00 (€ 6.777,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Beard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orphaned Cheetah Cubs, Mweiga, near Nyeri, Kenya, March 1968 im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 672.500,00 (€ 577.352,34).
