Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Potager Aux Toits Rouges (Martigny-Les-Bains) by Peter Alexandrovitch Nilouss was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,787.93). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Alexandrovitch Nilouss achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three Women In The Park in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 85,006.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Potager Aux Toits Rouges (Martigny-Les-Bains) von Peter Alexandrovitch Nilouss im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.787,93) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Alexandrovitch Nilouss erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three Women In The Park im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 67.250,00 (€ 85.006,25).
